Windows 10 support ends October 14, but here's how to get an extra year for free

You've known it for a while: Microsoft has determined that it's moving Windows 10 to "end of life" status starting on October 14. That means while Windows 10 PCs will continue to work after that date, they'll stop getting important security updates by default.
